Bright new signs hint at what’s coming: “Something exciting is baking.” Adorned with playful illustrations of mixers, rolling pins, and baking ingredients, the signage suggests visitors can soon expect an interactive baking experience.
Though the venue’s website and social media channels are still in development, the signage clearly states it will be “a new baking experience event for friends, couples, parties and team days.” The official opening is scheduled for autumn, promising a fresh twist on experiential venues in Birmingham.

While Birmingham already hosts a popular baking experience in Digbeth—Big Bake Birmingham with multiple UK locations offering pairs baking fun under head baker supervision—Ready Steady Make It aims to bring something new and distinct to the city centre shopping scene.
Passers-by are being encouraged to sign up to receive updates, fueling anticipation about the upcoming concept. Once open, it will join other popular leisure destinations on Link Street, such as Lane 7 and Toca Social, enhancing this lively area’s appeal for social and group activities.
Meanwhile, just steps away, a new Grand Central restaurant, Sushi Tachi, has unveiled its new frontage and will be welcoming customers starting Monday, July 20. Sushi Tachi’s arrival marks its first shop outside London, further adding to Birmingham’s growing roster of unique dining and entertainment options.
Together, these new openings illustrate Link Street’s evolution into a dynamic hub for memorable experiences, perfect for everything from casual outings to celebrations.
