Tyler Bowen, a 23-year-old from Wolverhampton, has been handed a suspended sentence after being caught with a stash of class A drugs worth £2,400. Bowen admitted to dealing heroin and cocaine, a path he took after accumulating a £500 drugs debt through his own substance use.
During a police operation on 26 November last year, officers executed a warrant at Bowen’s residence on Frost Street, Ettingshall, where he was the sole tenant and cooperated fully. They seized 122 wraps of heroin valued at approximately £1,220, alongside 127 wraps of cocaine worth around £1,270. Additionally, £658.40 in cash, scales, empty drug bags, a large hunting knife, and messages evidencing drug supply activities were discovered.
At Wolverhampton Crown Court, Bowen pleaded guilty to two counts of supplying class A drugs (cocaine and heroin), two counts of possession with intent to supply the same substances, and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place. He explained his involvement as a street-level dealer who used a mobile phone to coordinate supply but did not exert control over others. The drugs in question were handed to him in November 2025, and the cash found was linked to his dealing activities.

Bowen, who previously received a conditional discharge in July 2024 for possession of a banned dog breed, was represented by Dominic Bardill. The defence highlighted Bowen’s limited role in drug distribution and emphasised that he was not associated with any gang, noting his significant drug use and resulting debt.
Sentencing, Recorder Brown acknowledged that Bowen’s drug dealing resulted from an initial drugs debt and that his financial gain was limited. He also noted Bowen’s plans to relocate to Wales, where his parents are willing to support him for a fresh start. Appearing via video link from HMP Dovegate, Bowen was sentenced on 3 August to 30 months imprisonment suspended for three years, alongside a 35-day rehabilitation activity requirement and 175 hours of unpaid work.
Bowen now resides in Maes Dyfi, Machynlleth, Wales, where he aims to rebuild his life away from past offences.
