West Midlands Metro has issued a warning about service alterations as it carries out necessary upgrades to the overhead line equipment.
On Sunday, 13 September, there will be no tram service between Wednesbury Great Western Street and Edgbaston Village while these essential works are underway. Trams will operate only between Wolverhampton Station / Wolverhampton St George’s and Wednesbury Great Western Street from the start of service until 1pm.
Full tram service between Wednesbury Great Western Street and Millennium Point / Edgbaston Village is expected to resume by 1pm.

During this period, passengers are encouraged to use alternative public transport options, with tickets being accepted on National Express bus services and West Midlands Railway.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Metro said, “We apologise for any inconvenience these service changes may cause and thank customers for their patience during these essential upgrade works.”
