A man from the West Midlands is preparing to run 100 miles to honour his friend, who tragically died from meningitis earlier this year.
Shaun McEntee has launched a fundraising campaign for the Aaron Love Mills Forever Fund, aiming to raise £5,000 to support awareness and research. To date, the initiative has already raised over £3,300.
In tribute to his friend, Shaun will undertake a five-day run starting at Kidderminster Harriers’ Aggborough Stadium and finishing at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium. The route symbolises the football clubs close to Aaron’s heart, reflecting his lifelong passion for Liverpool FC and his local team, Kidderminster Harriers.

The daily stages are planned as follows: day one from Aggborough Stadium to Wolverhampton University; subsequent days will see Shaun passing Harper Adams University in Newport, Reaseheath College & University Centre in Nantwich, and Chester University. The run culminates at Anfield Stadium on the fifth day.
On the fundraising page, Shaun shared: “To honour Aaron, I will be running approximately 100 miles over five days, from Kidderminster Harriers Aggborough Stadium to Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium. This journey is for Aaron. He was a lifelong fan of Liverpool F.C. and held a season ticket at his local team Kidderminster Harriers F.C.
“Running between the two stadiums represents the clubs he loved and the passion that meant so much to him. We want to make this challenge as big as we possibly can and raise as much awareness as possible about this awful disease.
“So if you can help in any way, no matter how small, please do. Whether that is a donation, running a leg of the journey with me, supporting during the run, or simply sharing Aaron’s story and this challenge. Every little helps.”
