West Midlands Areas with Sharpest House Price Declines in Past Year

Recent data reveals significant drops in property values across several UK regions over the past year. While some areas have seen house prices rise in 2024, others, including parts of the West Midlands, experienced notable declines.

Belgravia in London recorded one of the most dramatic falls, with average house prices plummeting by 51%. The typical home that sold for over £5.5 million in 2024 dropped to around £2.7 million in 2025, marking a steep depreciation in this traditionally affluent area home to the country’s elite.

In the West Midlands, the village of Broadway in Worcestershire, located within the WR12 postcode, saw average house prices fall by 36%, with homes now valued at approximately £456,000. Nearby Bridgnorth Lower also experienced a reduction of about 10% in property prices within the same period.
