A wanted man was apprehended after police used stinger spikes to stop a Fiat campervan that failed to pull over on the M6 motorway. The dramatic intervention took place on the evening of Thursday, April 23, when officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver ignored their commands.
The driver was later found to be driving without a valid licence and was wanted by two other police forces. Staffordshire Police’s Road Crime Team shared an image of the campervan on social media the following morning, confirming that the vehicle was successfully stopped using tactical measures, and the driver was arrested. The vehicle itself was seized by authorities.
The police statement read, “This Fiat campervan failed to stop for ourselves on the M6. The Fiat was stung, and tactics were used to bring it to a stop. Not only did the driver not hold a valid driving licence, he was also wanted by two other police forces. Driver arrested and vehicle seized.”
