A van driver from Walsall, Eric Oppong, has been banned from driving for six months after being caught speeding on the M4 motorway. Oppong was recorded driving a white Mercedes-Benz Sprinter at 57 miles per hour, exceeding the temporary speed limit in place on the motorway at the time.
As a result of the offence, Oppong has received three penalty points on his driving licence alongside the six-month ban. The incident highlights the importance of observing temporary speed restrictions, which are often put in place for road works or safety reasons.
