A violent incident unfolded at a Birmingham wedding on Wednesday night when petrol bombs were hurled at attendees and luxury vehicles outside the Royal Shalimar banqueting hall in Sparkbrook.
The event, held on August 19 along Highgate Road, was attended by several young people, including a toddler, when three masked individuals launched petrol bombs at the crowd. Two high-value cars, believed to be a Lamborghini and a McLaren, were set alight during the attack.
Footage captured the chaotic scene, showing wedding guests pursuing the attackers as they fled down Sparkbrook’s streets. Fire engines arrived promptly towards the end of the video. West Midlands Fire Service confirmed that there were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.

Fire crews attended the scene for over thirty minutes before departing, with West Midlands Police initiating an investigation into the events.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Fire Service stated to BirminghamLive: “Shortly after 8.30pm on Wednesday, August 19, we responded to Highgate Road, Birmingham. A fire engine from Highgate station attended after two vehicles were deliberately set alight. One vehicle was made safe by firefighters. No one was trapped or injured. Police colleagues were also in attendance. We left this incident at 9.07pm.”
West Midlands Police issued a statement confirming: “An investigation has been launched after two cars were set on fire in Sparkbrook last night. Around 8.30pm, we were called to Royal Shalimar on Highgate Road. Three men were seen running down Mole Street before entering a white Volkswagen Golf and driving away. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. We have been speaking to witnesses and reviewing CCTV as part of our ongoing investigation.”
