UK’s ‘Most Boring Man’ Launches Movement to Challenge Toxic Masculinity

Kevin Beresford, dubbed the UK’s most boring man for his enthusiasm for roundabouts and car parks, is now tackling toxic masculinity with a new movement called the “dullosphere.” At 73, this eccentric father-of-four from Redditch, Worcestershire, has gained national attention for celebrating the ordinary—from calendars featuring the UK’s finest roundabouts to appreciating Birmingham’s car parks.

Inspired during a live interview with Louis Theroux and Amanda Holden on Heart FM, following the release of Theroux’s Netflix documentary on the “manosphere,” Kevin decided to create a welcoming space that embraces harmless tedium and rejects aggressive macho culture. For a £20 membership fee, supporters receive a complimentary mug and coaster to promote the simple pleasures of life rather than chasing flashy cars or multiple romantic conquests.

Kevin encourages young men to adopt a “beige lifestyle,” embracing contentment with a dad bod instead of striving for Instagram-worthy physiques. Reinventing himself cheekily as “Tokky Tikky Kevvy,” a playful jibe at controversial influencers, he offers a noble alternative to online alpha culture.

As vice-president of the Dull Men’s Club, whose motto is “celebrate the ordinary,” Kevin calls on men and boys across Britain to embrace their dullness. Rejecting materialism and superficial ideals, he champions values like respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, and empathy—common decency, he says, that most people would agree with.

Kevin firmly believes “it’s now sexy being dull” and hopes to create a platform where this mindset can flourish. He explains, “Social media has set unrealistic expectations, but there’s nothing wrong with being pretty normal.” He also hopes to unite people disillusioned by the toxic manosphere to gently poke fun at its proponents and expose their problematic behavior.

During the live Heart FM interview, Louis Theroux praised Kevin’s initiative, calling him “fascinating” and appreciating his sense of humor. Kevin, who also serves as president of the UK Roundabout Appreciation Society—nicknamed “Lord of the Rings”—shared his passion for one-way gyratory systems with lighthearted charm.

With his movement gaining momentum, Kevin looks forward to more people joining the “dullosphere,” including potentially Louis himself, as they together celebrate the ordinary, promote kindness, and offer a refreshing challenge to toxic masculine ideals.
