The UK is set to experience a second major snow blast this weekend, stretching over an impressive 736 miles from Scotland all the way down to the southern coast, including Brighton. According to Wx Charts, forecasts indicate widespread snowfall across a broad swath of the country, following earlier flurries this week.
The most severe weather is expected around Sunday, November 23. Detailed maps, generated using Met Desk data combined with the advanced Global Forecast System (GFS) modeling, highlight numerous counties under threat. These include Lancashire, Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, Cumbria, Durham, Northumberland, Derbyshire, Shropshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, and Cambridgeshire.
Further south, areas such as Lincolnshire, Dover, Sussex, Kent, Greater London, Surrey, and Essex are likely to see light snow dustings as well.

The BBC Weather team predicts a cold and unsettled period from Wednesday, November 18, through Sunday, November 23, with wintry conditions developing in several areas.
“With high pressure positioned west and north-west of the UK, north to northwesterly cold winds will dominate the weather until the weekend,” the team explained. “These winds will bring showers mainly affecting windward regions, including wintry precipitation from the Midlands and South Wales northwards, with even lower level snow in parts of Scotland. Accumulations are expected, and there is an isolated risk of thunder and hail.”
Meanwhile, sheltered regions may experience drier and occasionally sunny spells, but sharp frosts and icy surfaces will be common.
Friday is forecasted to be the coldest night of this cold snap, particularly across northern Scotland. Winds are expected to ease as a high-pressure ridge temporarily settles in, bringing mostly dry conditions.
Later on Friday and into Saturday, a slow-moving frontal system will advance from the Atlantic, bringing rain initially to Scotland alongside more mountain snow. Some snowfalls could be heavy, and although temperatures may rise slightly, the incoming system could bring cold enough air to trigger hill snow and sleet farther south during Saturday before milder air gradually arrives. Showery conditions are expected to continue into Sunday.
Residents across the UK should prepare for these wintry conditions, particularly on Sunday, as the second extensive snow event of the season unfolds.
