Two zoos in the West Midlands have earned high praise from visitors, ranking among the UK’s best zoos ahead of popular destinations like London, Blackpool, and Edinburgh.
The UK offers a wide variety of zoos where visitors can experience everything from elephants and big cats to exotic birds and reptiles. Tripadvisor’s latest Traveller’s Choice awards highlight the top 15 zoos across the country, featuring three notable entries from the West Midlands region.
Topping the list in second place is Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur World in Telford, Shropshire, boasting an impressive 4.7 rating from 6,427 reviews on Tripadvisor. This family-run attraction is home to over 100 animal species including bobcats, lemurs, raccoons, and arctic wolves, alongside 45 animatronic dinosaurs. Visitors can also enjoy a Land Rover safari and a spacious adventure play area.

Meanwhile, Worcestershire’s West Midlands Safari Park secured fourth place with a 4.1 rating from 7,375 reviews. Renowned for its four-mile safari drive, visitors can spot elephants, lions, rhinos, tigers, giraffes, zebras, and more.
