Two Charged with Supplying Monkey Dust in Stafford

Two Stafford residents, Steven Dawkins, 34, and Kirsty Rigby, 37, have been charged with supplying monkey dust, a dangerous class B drug, within the town of Stafford. Both face serious allegations, including being concerned in the supply of controlled substances and possession of offensive weapons in a private location.

The pair appeared before magistrates at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre in Newcastle-under-Lyme on Monday, November 24. During the hearing, Dawkins was remanded in custody and is expected to remain behind bars over the Christmas period, with a further hearing scheduled for January 13, 2026, at Cannock Magistrates Court. Meanwhile, Rigby was granted conditional bail pending future court proceedings.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police confirmed the charges, emphasizing the ongoing efforts to tackle the distribution of harmful drugs like monkey dust in the community. The charges reflect the commitment of local law enforcement to reduce the impact of drug-related activities in Staffordshire.
