Two Birmingham GP Surgeries Rated Among England’s Best by Patients

Two GP surgeries in Birmingham have been praised by patients with near-perfect satisfaction scores, placing them among the best in England. The latest results from the 2026 GP Patient Survey highlight the exceptional quality of care provided at Queslett Medical Centre in Great Barr and Dr Kulshrestha Summerfield Family Practice in Winson Green, both achieving an impressive 97% approval rating.

This annual national survey gathers patient feedback on various aspects of GP services, including the quality of care, ease of accessing appointments, and communication with the practice. Patients were asked to rate their overall experience as either good or poor, ensuring their voices remain central to evaluating healthcare provision.

The outstanding approval ratings for Queslett Medical Centre and Dr Kulshrestha Summerfield Family Practice reflect patients’ confidence and satisfaction with their care, placing these surgeries among the top-performing practices nationwide.

Other GP surgeries in the West Midlands also received high marks, with The Ridgeway Surgery in Sedgley, The Sheldon Medical Centre, and Cotmore Surgery in Great Barr each achieving a 96% approval rating. Handsworth Medical Practice follows closely with 95% of patients rating it as good or very good.

These results underscore the dedication of Birmingham’s GP practices to providing excellent patient care and accessibility, setting a strong example for healthcare standards across England.
