A truck driver was caught driving at 52mph in a newly established 30mph zone on Heartlands Parkway, Nechells, Birmingham, during a police speed enforcement operation on Tuesday, January 20. He was among 29 other drivers flagged for speeding at the same location.
In addition to the activity on Heartlands Parkway, West Midlands Police identified 40 more speeding drivers on the M5 motorway as part of the coordinated effort.
The WMP Traffic unit shared on Facebook: “WMP D-Unit ANPR Interceptors conducted multiple fatal four speed operations today around our area. The truck driver was reported for driving 52mph in a 30mph zone on Heartlands Parkway. He joins another 29 drivers caught at this location, along with 40 more on the M5.”
