As the Bank Holiday weekend approaches, there’s no shortage of exciting activities across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands to enjoy with the family. One standout experience is a visit to the Bristol Zoo Project, located about an hour and a half from Birmingham. For those looking for free activities, the city centre has plenty to offer. Birmingham Weekender is the city’s major Bank Holiday festival running from 29 to 31 August. It features free performances, art installations, and pop-up experiences located around Birmingham Hippodrome and the Bullring shopping centre.
NEC Lakeside presents an outdoor cinema screening free family favourites: “Ratatouille” on Friday, “Cars” on Saturday, and “Trolls” on Sunday.
Additionally, the beloved Brum Snoopy Trail continues until 1 September, providing a free and engaging city centre activity where participants can locate various Snoopy sculptures.
At Touchwood Shopping Centre, the Summer Sessions conclude on Bank Holiday Monday with a variety of free children’s activities planned to entertain families.
