Dominic Woodcock, a 23-year-old from Erdington, has been convicted of additional crimes involving the exploitation of young girls through the social media platform TikTok. Woodcock used a fabricated gymnastics promotion account to entice children into sending him images and videos. He then threatened to share these indecent materials online if the victims did not comply with his demands for more explicit content.
Previously, Woodcock pleaded guilty to possession of indecent images and engaging children in sexual activity in 2024, resulting in a prison sentence of four years and eight months. He was also placed on the sex offenders register for life.
Following his sentencing, more victims have come forward, prompting further investigation. Woodcock has now admitted to over 40 new charges, including causing or inciting a child into sexual activity, distributing indecent images, and engaging in sexual communication with a child.

These charges were presented at Birmingham Crown Court on 14 August, where Woodcock was convicted and will remain in custody pending sentencing scheduled for December.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police stated: “Dominic Woodcock groomed young children on TikTok by pretending to run a gymnastics promotion. He would initially request videos of gymnastic routines from the girls before building rapport and escalating his demands to indecent images. He then threatened to expose them online if they refused.”
“Following a thorough investigation by our Child Abuse Investigation unit, Woodcock was arrested, charged, and jailed in 2024. Our officers continuously work to protect children online and prosecute offenders who exploit them.”
This case highlights ongoing concerns about the dangers children face on social media platforms and the vigilance required from authorities to detect and prevent such exploitation.
