More than a year has passed since the National Lottery pledged over £9 million to preserve the nearly 200-year-old Birmingham Botanical Gardens, ensuring this cherished local landmark remains for future generations.
To mark this significant investment, several wealthy National Lottery winners from Birmingham-dubbed one of the luckiest cities in the country-came together to explore the gardens and learn about the restoration project.
While many attendees were curious about plans for the unique Dicksonia x lathamii tree fern, which has thrived in Birmingham since the 1800s, and the garden’s redesign to offer visitors a more comfortable experience, my thoughts were with a different ambition: discovering the secret to becoming extraordinarily wealthy.
