The Real Reason Pippa Middleton Missed Kate’s Christmas Carol Concert

The Princess of Wales hosted a grand Christmas carol service on Friday, December 5, welcoming over 1,600 guests to Westminster Abbey for the occasion. While the event was a festive highlight, keen observers noticed the absence of one key family member: Pippa Middleton, the younger sister of the Princess of Wales.

The reason behind Pippa’s absence has now been clarified. She was spotted in Abu Dhabi over the weekend with her husband, James Matthews, 50. The couple attended the UAE as guests of the Formula 1 Grand Prix, held on Sunday. James, a former professional racer and current board member of the Williams F1 team, was there in a professional capacity, which is believed to have influenced their travel plans.

Although Pippa missed the Christmas carol concert, other family members were present. Kate’s brother, James Middleton, and his wife, Alizee, attended the event, as did their parents, Michael and Carole Middleton.

During the evening, numerous photos captured the Princess and Prince of Wales greeting guests. One particularly heartwarming image featured the entire Wales family arriving together in elegant attire—Kate, William, and their children George, Charlotte, and Louis. The young princes dressed sharply in suits and ties matching their father, while Princess Charlotte wore a navy blue dress with a classic collar. Kate herself chose a stunning long green coat, coordinated with her eldest son George’s tie.

A charming moment from the evening showed little Louis trying to handle a candle as his mother watched over him with poised elegance, highlighting the warm family spirit of the night.
