Just a short drive or bus ride from Fort William lies the Glenfinnan Viaduct-a striking landmark familiar to Harry Potter fans. This is the precise spot where the Hogwarts Express, on the silver screen, rolled through the picturesque Scottish countryside, passing beneath flying vehicles.

Tickets for the Caledonian Sleeper currently start from £190. The journey departs Birmingham International at 10:42pm, arriving at your Scottish destination around 10am the following morning-allowing passengers to sleep comfortably en route. Accommodation options include private rooms with full beds or seated areas with sleep kits for those who prefer a simpler setup.
Beyond the viaduct, Fort William offers an array of outdoor pursuits. Nestled between Loch Linnhe and the Nevis Range, the area is perfect for hiking, including climbs to the summit of Ben Nevis, the UK’s highest peak.
