Tesco Recalls Salad Due to Undeclared Mustard Allergen – No Receipt Needed for Refund

Tesco has issued an urgent recall on its popular Tesco Celery Fruit and Nut Salad (300g) priced at £1.85, after discovering the product contains mustard—a potential allergen not declared on the label. The supermarket warns customers with mustard allergies: do not consume this product under any circumstances.

The recall affects only the salad with a use-by date of December 2, 2025. Tesco has contacted allergy support organizations to ensure the recall message reaches those who may be impacted. Customers can return the product to any Tesco store and receive a full refund without the need for a receipt.

According to a Food Standards Agency (FSA) statement, “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to mustard do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.”

Mustard is not mentioned on the product label, which may pose a health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to mustard.”

No other Tesco products are affected by this recall. Tesco apologizes for any inconvenience caused and encourages customers with questions to visit its website for further information.
