Tesco Launches Toy Donation Drive in Over 800 UK Stores to Brighten Christmas for Local Children

Tesco is once again bringing festive joy to communities across the UK with a major toy donation campaign in more than 800 large stores. Running from November 3 to December 15, this initiative encourages customers to purchase new, unwrapped toys in-store and leave them at dedicated donation points.

The toys collected will be distributed by local charities to children who might otherwise receive little or no gifts this Christmas. Each charity partner has been carefully selected by Tesco store colleagues, many of whom have fostered close ties through ongoing community work throughout the year.

Last Christmas, Tesco customers generously donated 125,000 toys, and the retailer hopes to surpass this figure in 2023. Store Community Champions are deeply involved in the campaign, emphasizing its impact. Pari Thanki expressed pride in supporting local families and highlighted the partnership with Christ the King for food and toy donations. Joanne Cooper shared how the appeal unites customers and colleagues to bring happiness to children connected with Pathways 4 All.
