Tesco has introduced a fuel discount initiative offering customers 8p off per litre at over 500 petrol stations across the UK. To take advantage of the promotion, shoppers must spend at least £60 in a single in-store transaction, qualifying them for a fuel discount voucher.
These vouchers will be available until Monday, 31 August, and must be redeemed against fuel purchased by Sunday, 6 September. The maximum saving per customer is capped at £10. For an average driver filling between 35 to 45 litres, this equates to savings in the range of £2.80 to £3.60.
To qualify, the minimum £60 spend must be after any discounts, promotions, or coupons have been applied. The offer is valid for in-store purchases made between 17 August and 31 August. Customers will find the fuel discount coupon printed at the bottom of their receipt without the need for a Clubcard.

Certain purchases are excluded from contributing towards the minimum spend, including online and Whoosh orders, items from cafés, tobacco kiosks, opticians, phone stores, concessions, Travel Money, Tesco Bank services, lottery products, e-top-ups, savings stamps, postage stamps, carrier bags, prescription medicines, and infant milk formulae.
The 8p per litre discount applies when the paper coupon is presented at the petrol station kiosk and used in the same transaction as the fuel purchase. Only one coupon can be redeemed per transaction.
This offer is not valid at Pay at Pump, unmanned petrol stations, in Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, or at Tesco Express stores selling Esso fuel.
Tesco, with stores in cities including Birmingham, faces competition from retailers such as Aldi, Lidl, Morrisons, and Sainsbury’s. In announcing the scheme, Tesco said: “Make your shop go even further with an 8p off per litre fuel coupon. Just spend £60 or more in-store and find your coupon at the bottom of your receipt. Clubcard not required. From everyday essentials to family favourites, you’ll find savings in every aisle – and now at the pump too. So, come and fill up your trolley and your tank! Offer ends Monday 31 August.”
