Tesco Introduces New £1 Clubcard Voucher Rule for Travel Insurance

Tesco has unveiled an exciting new feature for its Clubcard holders, marking a UK supermarket first. Starting this week, shoppers can convert every £1 of their Clubcard vouchers directly into £1 to spend on Tesco Travel Insurance.

To take advantage of this offer, customers simply need to digitally exchange their Clubcard vouchers for a Reward Partner code. This code can then be redeemed on Tesco’s dedicated travel insurance website. However, there is a minimum exchange requirement of £5 in vouchers per transaction.

The converted voucher value can be applied to a range of travel insurance options, including Single Trip, Annual Multi-Trip, or Backpacker insurance policies.

Alex Cross, Chief Customer Officer at Tesco Insurance and Money Services, highlighted the significance of this initiative: “This is a pioneering step for Tesco Insurance and Money Services that delivers greater value to our Clubcard customers. By making travel insurance more accessible, more people across the UK can plan trips with peace of mind, knowing their health and holidays are protected.”

Cross emphasized the convenience and importance of securing travel insurance early. “Whether you’re embarking on a long-awaited bucket list adventure, revisiting cherished cities, or planning a relaxing beach holiday, travel insurance is an essential component that’s often overlooked. Booking it in advance checks an important task off your list. Plus, if multiple trips are on your horizon for 2026, an annual multi-trip policy can provide significant savings.”

Besides travel insurance, Clubcard vouchers can still be used to save money on groceries and fuel at Tesco filling stations or Esso sites affiliated with Tesco Express.
