Two teenagers were arrested after suspicious activity was reported at Wolverhampton bus station on the evening of Wednesday, May 27. At approximately 5pm, Wolverhampton Council operators, who monitor the city centre’s CCTV network, alerted nearby police officers to the situation.
Police detained two boys, aged 17 and 14, on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon. A knuckleduster was recovered during the arrest. Following questioning, both teenagers were released on police bail as investigations continue.
A spokesperson for the police commented: “After CCTV operators spotted suspicious behaviour at Wolverhampton bus station yesterday evening, officers responded swiftly. Two boys were arrested on suspicion of carrying an offensive weapon and a knuckleduster was seized. The individuals have been released on bail while enquiries proceed.”
