Chantelle Riley, a 47-year-old teaching assistant and mother of four from Castle Bromwich, has struck lucky for the third time with the People’s Postcode Lottery. Chantelle and 17 of her neighbours in the B36 area each share a £1 million prize, netting £50,000 apiece.
This latest jackpot is Chantelle’s biggest win to date, following previous winnings of £14,221 and £1,078. She even convinced her partner to join the lottery, who also won £50,000 alongside her neighbours.
Living in a rented home on Auckland Drive for six years, Chantelle plans to finally buy her house and spoil her first grandchild, expected next month. “It feels unreal—I’m still numb,” she says. “I first won £14,000 just across the road and kept playing that postcode. It’s amazing to win again, and even better with so many from my street sharing the prize.”

This massive postcode win is the sixth £1 million prize awarded within six days regionally. Castle Bromwich has now seen three significant jackpots in 11 years, with neighbouring postcodes sharing £2 million in 2014 and £3.2 million in 2022.
Other members of the Auckland Drive community who won £50,000 include Sandra Grimes, 59, a Farmfoods worker and grandmother of five. “It’s the dream of dreams,” she said, reflecting on the life-changing prize and remembering her late husband with a celebratory toast.
Harry Potter enthusiast Conor Lavelle, 30, also won £50,000 and plans to visit the Warner Brothers Studio tour and complete a Harry Potter-themed tattoo sleeve. Conor, who works at Tesco, looks forward to earning his driving license and possibly returning to theatre production full-time.
The People’s Postcode Lottery, costing £12.25 monthly, offers daily winners and is open for entries until November 30. December’s draws will distribute a £38.2 million prize pot, creating new dreams and opportunities for winners like Chantelle and her community.
