Taskmaster Star Greg Davies Reveals 3 Stone Weight Loss Following Doctor’s Health Warning

Greg Davies, the towering 6ft 8in comedian and Taskmaster host, has spoken candidly about his recent weight loss and health concerns after receiving a serious warning from his doctor. At 57, Davies revealed he lost three stone in about four months, partly by using Ozempic—a medication primarily prescribed for managing type 2 diabetes but known for its weight loss side effects.

Although Ozempic is not officially intended for weight management, many patients have experienced reduced appetite and increased metabolism while on the drug, leading to a surge in semaglutide-based treatments for weight loss. Davies openly shared that while he successfully shed the weight initially, most of it eventually returned.

In a heartfelt interview with The Times, Davies disclosed that his GP warned him that if he were shorter, his weight would make him appear obese, highlighting the hidden risks masked by his height. This stark wake-up call has pushed him to consider additional methods like intermittent fasting to better manage his health.

Despite the challenges, Davies maintains a lighthearted approach to aging, quipping, “I think that’s probably good in my game, isn’t it?” He also made a rare reference to his personal life, choosing to keep details private while underscoring the importance of boundaries. Previously, he had a long-term relationship with Labour politician Liz Kendall, who emphasized respecting their private lives even after their separation.

Davies continues to enjoy success with Taskmaster, which recently concluded its 20th season after entertaining audiences since 2015. Fans can look forward to the upcoming festive special airing on December 22, 2025, followed by New Year specials in early January 2026.
