Tammy Abraham Eager to Win Trophies After Following Aston Villa’s Journey

Tammy Abraham has kept a close eye on Aston Villa’s development since his departure nearly seven years ago and is now ready to contribute to the club’s ambitions upon his return. This week, Villa secured his signing from Besiktas for £18 million, with the forward potentially making his Premier League debut this Sunday against Brentford.

At 28, Abraham remains a fan favourite at Villa Park, remembered fondly for his key role in Villa’s promotion to the Premier League during the 2018/19 season. Since then, the club has solidified its position in England’s top flight, first under Dean Smith and now flourishing under Unai Emery’s management.

Speaking to VillaTV, Abraham expressed his excitement: “Since I left, I’ve pretty much watched every game. The club is growing, the work being done here is impressive, and it’s great to see the badge represented so well. I left as a boy and now return as a man, ready to use all my experience to achieve something special.”

When asked about this season’s possibilities, Abraham was resolute: “The world is our oyster. We have a strong squad and can compete in all competitions. I want to win trophies, and we have to push in every competition.”

Having previously played alongside players like John McGinn and Tyrone Mings during his earlier loan spell, Abraham has quickly settled into the current squad. “It’s important to gel with the team. I know many of the boys, and they’ve helped me settle in fast. I’m eager to get on the pitch and create new memories with them.”
