What began as the detection of a tiny speck in his eye was later diagnosed as Uveal (Ocular) Melanoma, a highly uncommon form of cancer.
Following the initial diagnosis, Jez underwent Proton Radiotherapy at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in Liverpool, resulting in the loss of sight in his affected eye.
