This legislation provides new protections for renters and explicitly stops landlords from discriminating against tenants who have pets.
Since the Act came into force, Waggel, a leading pet insurance provider, has reported a 26% increase in new pet insurance policies compared to the previous six months. In May alone, 20,000 more people requested quotes from Waggel than in April.
