La Voix’s journey on Strictly Come Dancing has come to a poignant close, leaving fans and contestants alike deeply moved. The drag queen, who earned widespread acclaim as the runner-up on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK 2024, was forced to exit the competition early due to injury.
This marks the third injury-related withdrawal this season, following exits by Neighbours star Steffan Dennis and Dani Dyer. The announcement was made during the much-anticipated Blackpool special, much to the surprise of viewers. Though La Voix and her professional partner Aljaz Skorjanec had initially been slated to perform the following week, medical advice ultimately prevented her from continuing.
Strictly hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkelman confirmed that, as a result, there would be no dance-off this week, allowing all six remaining celebrities to proceed to the next round.

During a heartfelt exit interview, La Voix opened up about the profound impact of her Strictly experience. Overcome with emotion, she shared the deep connection she forged with Aljaz. The professional dancer described their time together as more than just a partnership — calling it a friendship for life. “On Saturdays and Sundays, we laughed together with La Voix, but it was from Monday to Friday that I truly got to know Chris and had the best time,” Aljaz said.
He added, “The world needs more drag queens like you. Strictly needed you. Dancing with you was a joy, and I’m going to miss it terribly. You’re incredible at what you do.”
La Voix, her eyes glistening with tears, reciprocated the sentiment with heartfelt gratitude. “What people see on the dancefloor is only a glimpse of the passion, love, and dedication Aljaz has for dance and his craft,” she said. “He kept me going through doubts, made me laugh on the hardest days, and never gave up on me when I thought I couldn’t do it.”
She concluded on an optimistic note, declaring, “I’m leaving this competition braver, happier, and more confident—thanks entirely to him.”
True to her playful spirit, La Voix couldn’t help but add a cheeky remark about her untimely departure: “Well, with me leaving unexpectedly… at least it gives someone else a chance to win now.”
