Stratford-upon-Avon, renowned as the birthplace of William Shakespeare, has welcomed a vibrant new attraction for families—the Stratford Soft Play centre. Nestled inside the Stratford Leisure Centre, this lively two-tier soft play facility offers a bright and engaging environment for children up to eight years old.
The play area features an array of colorful slides, building blocks, spinning panels, and sensory activities designed to promote motor skills and developmental growth. From balancing and sliding to rolling, kids have endless opportunities for active play.
Richard Bell, contract manager at Everyone Active, which operates the centre in partnership with Stratford-on-Avon District Council, expressed enthusiasm about the new addition: “We’re delighted to open this fantastic soft play facility, which we believe will become a treasured part of the community. It’s perfectly timed for families to enjoy during spring and the upcoming summer holidays.”

In addition to the soft play, Stratford Leisure Centre offers a swimming pool with popular mega inflatables each weekend, a café, sports hall, gym, and wellness suite. The soft play area replaces the former clip ’n climb facility.
Admission to Stratford Soft Play is affordable and accessible, open to both members and non-members at £5 on weekdays and £6 on weekends for children, with free entry for adults. Visitors have praised the new centre, with one parent excitedly sharing: “We absolutely LOVED it and will be back! It’s so much bigger than I expected—truly awesome.”
The centre is located at Bridgeway, Stratford-upon-Avon, CV37 6YX. It’s about a 50-minute drive from Birmingham via the M42 and M40, and there’s also a direct train from Birmingham Moor Street to Stratford-upon-Avon Parkway, with the leisure centre just a couple of miles from the station.
Opening hours for the soft play centre are 9 am to 6 pm on weekdays and 10 am to 4 pm on weekends—ideal for family visits throughout the week.
