State Pensioners Offered £300 Vouchers for Nine Major Supermarkets in December

Surrey County Council is providing state pensioners and other eligible residents with £300 in vouchers to spend at nine major supermarkets this December. The Everyday Essentials E-voucher scheme is designed to ease the burden of everyday living costs and is supported by funding from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) Household Support Fund.

The scheme runs until Tuesday, 31 March 2026, or until all allocated funds are distributed, whichever comes first. Vouchers can be used at Aldi, Asda, Farmfoods, Iceland, The Food Warehouse, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, and Waitrose.

To qualify, applicants must be Surrey residents aged 18 or older with household savings averaging £2,000 or less over a 90-day period, and an annual household income below £27,007.50 before taxes and deductions. This makes state pensioners especially well-positioned to benefit.

Applicants will need to provide details about their household income and benefits, including those of any partner sharing the household, to confirm their eligibility. The council may request evidence to verify these details and understand the reasons for applying.

Applications are accepted Monday through Friday and close once monthly funding is fully allocated. The current round of applications is closed as the monthly quota has been reached, but the scheme will reopen in early December.

Successful applicants will receive their Everyday Essentials E-voucher via email within four weeks. The council will contact applicants from the phone number 0300 200 1032; saving this number as “Essentials E-voucher” is advised to avoid missing important calls.
