Spudman Unveils Festival Menu Featuring £14 Potato, Pleads: ‘Please Be Kind’

TikTok star and festival favorite Spudman, real name Ben Newman, has revealed his menu pricing for the upcoming festival season, sparking mixed reactions online. As he prepares to serve his signature potatoes across multiple summer festivals, Spudman took to social media to break down his prices and explain the reasoning behind them.

“Festival season. Controversial time,” Spudman wrote. “Please be nice to me, please take into account this is a festival. We’re going to write the prices on the board, be nice. Bear in mind our overheads are through the roof.”

His menu features a plain potato priced at £7, a cheese potato at £8, and the standout item—a pulled pork potato—set at £14. Spudman acknowledged that many may find the £14 price tag steep but pointed out that similar festival offerings, such as £15 pizzas and £14 double burgers, are common.

He added, “I hate being that high. But people on the internet are going to go ‘oh but I wouldn’t pay £14 for a potato.'”

Reactions from the online community have been divided. Supporters like Wendy Ellis-Garde praised the value, saying, “The pulled pork and all the extras it comes with is worth every penny.” Esther Kenny agreed, calling the prices fair and expressing excitement to try the potatoes at Farm Fest.

However, some festival-goers voiced skepticism. Kimberley Ackew questioned the appeal, commenting, “Who goes to a festival and buys a plain potato for £7 lol might as well not be an option.” Paula Mills Flude also called the pricing “crazy.”

Despite the debate, Spudman remains committed to delivering quality festival food while navigating the challenges of increased event costs.
