Solihull Pub Reminds Customers: Good Manners Matter

The Greenwood, a popular community pub in Chelmsley Wood, Solihull, has issued a polite reminder to its patrons about the importance of good manners when ordering at the bar. Located on Helmswood Drive, the pub took to social media to address some less courteous behaviour from customers.

In a recent Facebook post, The Greenwood stated:
“Important announcement from The Greenwood. Just a gentle reminder folks… our bar staff don’t respond to ‘oi’ or ‘yo’. It’s either ‘treacle’ or ‘keep the change.’ Shouting won’t get you served quicker, but good manners definitely will. Busy bar, great vibes, same rules apply. Cheers.”

The message underlines the pub’s commitment to maintaining a friendly and respectful atmosphere even during busy times.

In a follow-up post, The Greenwood also asked customers to be considerate as they leave the premises. The pub wished everyone a Merry Christmas and reminded patrons to keep noise levels down out of respect for the neighbourhood, which remains a residential area.

By encouraging polite behaviour and neighbourly respect, The Greenwood aims to preserve its warm and welcoming environment for all.
