An inquest has confirmed that Henry Price, a 17-year-old college student from Shirley, Solihull, took his own life by jumping from a multi-storey car park.
The incident occurred on the afternoon of 2 June 2026. Henry was last seen by his family at around 9.30am that morning, with no concerns noted at that time. Later that day, at 2.46pm, he jumped from the car park, sustaining severe injuries. He was found a few hours after the fall and was promptly taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Despite medical intervention, Henry sadly died the following day, 3 June 2026. The medical cause of death was recorded as pulmonary contusions resulting from polytrauma caused by the fall from height. Following a thorough investigation, the inquest concluded that his death was due to suicide.

Senior Coroner Louise Hunt noted that Henry had been struggling with his mental health for several months prior to his death, although he had not sought professional help. It was confirmed that he had recently expressed an intention to take his own life.
Henry’s tragic passing highlights the importance of mental health awareness and the need for support for those facing similar difficulties.
