Maciej Pelczar, 48, avoided a jail sentence following a frightening incident at a House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) on Rutland Road in Smethwick. In October 2024, Pelczar became intoxicated and aggressive, threatening a housemate with two kitchen knives.
The alarming confrontation took place in the shared kitchen of the property. According to court reports, Pelczar was heavily under the influence of alcohol, which contributed to his violent behavior. Fortunately, no one was physically harmed during the episode.
At Wolverhampton Crown Court, Pelczar admitted to the threat but was given a chance to avoid prison. The judge considered his previous record, personal circumstances, and the fact that this was his first offense of such nature. Pelczar was sentenced to a community order, including anger management and alcohol rehabilitation programs to prevent any recurrence.
