Sky is set to relaunch a beloved TV channel five years after its dramatic closure, unveiling the new Disney+ Cinema channel through a strategic partnership with Disney. This exciting addition will be exclusively available to Sky Cinema subscribers across the UK and Ireland starting March 2026.
Sophia Ahmad, Chief Consumer Officer at Sky, emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering exceptional entertainment value. “We’re focused on giving Sky customers the best content, in the best experience, at the best value,” she said. “Integrating the Disney+ app into Sky’s market-leading technology through a single, simple subscription offers unparalleled convenience.”
Sky’s extensive entertainment portfolio, including Sky Originals, premium sports, and exclusive global content, will now be complemented by Disney+’s vast library. Disney+ is the home to iconic franchises like the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Star Wars, Hulu hits such as Only Murders in the Building, and beloved Disney and Pixar classics.

This agreement offers millions of Sky customers a seamless way to enjoy the incredible stories that Disney+ provides and opens new opportunities for content creators and advertisers.”
From March 2026, Disney+ Standard with Ads will be included in eligible Sky TV packages, granting subscribers access to a full range of Disney+ movies and series. Additionally, Sky Cinema customers will enjoy exclusive access to the Disney+ Cinema linear channel, offering a curated selection of movies available on Disney+.
Sky subscribers can activate Disney+ on Sky Q, Sky Glass, or Sky Stream platforms. Existing Disney+ users will also be able to transfer their accounts and profiles easily to Sky, ensuring a smooth transition.
