All six suspects remain in police custody.

Chief Superintendent Jon Belcher commented, “Following extensive investigations, our colleagues at Devon and Cornwall Police, acting on our behalf, found the girls safe and well yesterday.”

“We have been investigating the circumstances of how the girls came to be in Cornwall and have progressed enquiries with these six arrests today.”

He added, “All individuals currently in custody are known to the girls, so there is no wider threat to the community. Over the coming days, officers will be engaging with the community, conducting house-to-house enquiries and providing reassurance. Anyone with concerns is encouraged to speak with them.”
