Lee Egege, a serial offender with an extensive criminal record approaching 50 convictions for almost 100 offences, has been convicted of assaulting a police officer in West Bromwich. During the incident, Egege verbally abused a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) by calling them a “fat b**tard” and proceeded to spit at the officer while reportedly under the influence of drugs.
Despite the seriousness of the assault charge and his lengthy criminal history, Egege has so far avoided incarceration. This case highlights ongoing challenges faced by law enforcement in dealing with repeat offenders who continue to engage in anti-social and violent behaviour within the community.
