Get ready for a vibrant day out because Sandwell’s popular Colour Run is back, inviting families and individuals of all ages to take part! This exciting event happens at Sandwell Valley Country Park, where participants start their run dressed in white and get splashed with bright colors at six lively paint stations along the course.
Whether you’re up for a 3km or 5km challenge, there’s a distance for everyone. The ‘Blind Dave’ Heeley Colour Run is scheduled for Saturday, August 1st, with proceeds supporting the West Bromwich Albion Foundation. While there’s no minimum fundraising target, every donation helps the Foundation continue its valuable community work.
The Colour Run perfectly coincides with the Sandwell Festival, creating a full day of entertainment. Attendees can enjoy live music, dedicated play zones, market stalls, sports activities, and a delicious food village — ensuring there’s something for every family member.

A spokesperson shared, “Last year’s event brought out over 500 runners and walkers, all enjoying the colorful experience. This year, we’re thrilled to welcome everyone again and encourage fundraising to support the Albion Foundation’s local initiatives.”
Registration begins at 11am, with the run kicking off at noon. Entry fees are £15 for adults, £10 for children, and free for kids under three. Each participant receives a paint pack, a T-shirt, and a medal when they finish.
