Royal Mail Issues Warning on Major Delivery Delays Across 105 Postcodes

Royal Mail has issued a warning to customers in 105 postcodes experiencing significant delivery delays due to recent storms and increased staff sickness. The postal service cited severe weather conditions—including Storms Goretti, Ingrid, and Chandra in January—combined with higher-than-usual absenteeism as the primary causes of disruption across the network.

A Royal Mail spokesperson stated, “Adverse weather and staff shortages have caused short-term delays on certain routes. However, the majority of mail is still being delivered as planned. We understand the frustration caused when mail does not arrive on time.”

To address the delays, Royal Mail is mobilizing additional resources to restore normal delivery services as quickly as possible.
