Royal Mail Issues Crucial Christmas Posting Deadlines for UK Households

Royal Mail has announced its final recommended posting dates to guarantee that your Christmas cards, letters, and parcels arrive before the holiday. To avoid last-minute delays and disappointment, it’s essential to send your items as early as possible.

The last posting dates for key services within the UK are as follows:

  • 2nd Class mail: Wednesday, December 17
  • 1st Class mail: Saturday, December 20
  • Royal Mail Tracked 24: Sunday, December 21
  • Special Delivery Guaranteed: Tuesday, December 23
  • Royal Mail Tracked Returns 48 (to arrive back with sender before Christmas): Friday, December 19
  • Parcelforce Worldwide Express48 UK inland services: Friday, December 19
  • Express10, ExpressPM, and Express24: Monday, December 22

Royal Mail urges customers to post early, especially for international deliveries, because last posting dates may change. This precaution helps ensure your parcels and letters reach their destinations in time for the festive season.

Additionally, Royal Mail is running a festive competition where you could win part of over £500,000. To enter, simply add the word “Magical” along with a Royal Mail Christmas 2025 stamp to your Christmas card envelope. Then, send a photo of your Magical card and nominate the recipient for a chance to win.

Remember, posting your Christmas mail early is the best way to guarantee timely delivery and share the holiday spirit with your loved ones.
