Record-Breaking West End Hit Back To The Future The Musical Arrives in Birmingham for the First Time

A critically acclaimed West End sensation, Back To The Future The Musical, which has dazzled over two million theatre-goers, is making its debut in Birmingham. The show will light up the stage at Birmingham Hippodrome from Tuesday, March 9 through Sunday, April 10, 2027, marking its first-ever UK tour stop.

Tickets become available to the general public at 10am on Tuesday, March 3. Fans who join the Hippodrome Friends membership can enjoy priority booking starting Monday, March 2 at 10am.

Produced by Colin Ingram in collaboration with original movie creators Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale, the musical blends nostalgia and innovation. Featuring original compositions by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard alongside classic hits like “The Power of Love” and “Johnny B. Goode,” the show captures the magic of the iconic film trilogy.

Currently delighting audiences at London’s Adelphi Theatre, the musical has garnered prestigious accolades such as Olivier, Broadway World, and WhatsOnStage awards. Its success extends globally with productions aboard Royal Caribbean cruises and performances throughout North America and Japan, engaging over four million fans worldwide.

Colin Ingram shared his excitement: “I’m thrilled that the DeLorean will speed at 88mph to bring this heartfelt spectacle to theatres across the UK. Audiences are in for a fun, electrifying ride with one of the most impressive touring productions in recent history.”

In addition to this landmark tour, Birmingham’s vibrant theatre scene continues to bloom. The Birmingham REP is set to stage the beloved Christmas classic The Snowman from October 20 to November 1, 2026. Moreover, The Alexandra Theatre will host the chilling Paranormal Activity show from October 27 to October 31, marking its city debut.
