A proposal has been submitted to Solihull Council to convert a residential property on Radbourne Road, Shirley, into a care home for children. The applicant, Adele Lynch, aims to transform the home to accommodate up to three children in need of care and support.
The submitted plans detail that the ground floor will feature two lounges, a kitchen and dining area, a recreation and games room, and an office. Upstairs, the property would include three bedrooms for the children, two bedrooms for staff, and two bathrooms.
According to the application, the facility would be staffed by three full-time employees and retain four existing parking spaces. The planning application, registered under reference number PL/2026/00679/PPFL, was officially submitted to the council on April 8.
Residents and interested parties are invited to review the plans and submit their comments during the consultation period, which runs until May 13. Feedback can be provided via Solihull Council’s online planning portal.
In addition to this proposal, Solihull Council continues to consider several other live planning applications across the borough.
