Residents of Birmingham and the wider West Midlands are being encouraged to nominate the everyday heroes in their communities for the prestigious Pride of Britain Awards 2026.
From the heart of the Black Country to Coventry and Solihull, countless individuals go above and beyond in acts of courage, kindness, and dedication. Now, the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards with P&O Cruises is calling on locals to recognize these unsung champions by submitting nominations.
The awards celebrate extraordinary people from all walks of life—brave children, lifesaving emergency responders, inspirational fundraisers, devoted volunteers, and community advocates—whose selfless actions transform lives and strengthen communities nationwide.

This year’s ceremony will be hosted once again by Carol Vorderman MBE and Ashley Banjo MBE, and televised live on ITV1, bringing the powerful stories of Britain’s most inspiring individuals into millions of homes.
A distinguished panel of judges will select the winners later this summer after reviewing nominations from across the UK, shining a spotlight on those whose extraordinary kindness and courage make a lasting difference.
Chloe Hubbard, Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Mirror, shared her excitement about being part of the awards for the first time: “Every nominee deserves recognition, and their stories are important to share with the nation. We will seek out the incredible unsung heroes all across the country to honor at the 2026 ceremony.”
