A38 Last Exit, widely recognised as the UK’s first multi-vendor halal street food drive-in, has expanded to accommodate increasing demand in Birmingham.
Situated on Tyburn Road in Erdington, just off the A38 motorway from which it takes its name, the venue launched in 2024 to offer an array of all-halal street food options to drive-in customers.
Visitors can enjoy popular dining outlets such as Ladypool Road’s CZN Burak, Howlin Chicken, Meat and Eat, and the Milkcake Man, all within the vibrant setting of A38 Last Exit.

The site has seen rapid growth in popularity, occasionally leading to traffic congestion as queues formed for parking spaces. Concerns had also been raised about illegal parking behaviours, such as vehicles occupying loading bays and reducing pavement space needed for prams and wheelchairs in adjacent streets.
To address these issues and improve the visitor experience, A38 Last Exit has purchased the neighbouring building, increasing for the first time the total number of parking spaces to over 100. This expansion includes 60 new indoor parking spots, significantly boosting capacity.
“The new addition means more parking, less stress, and more time enjoying what matters,” the venue said in a statement.
Alongside the building purchase, 15 additional parking bays have been created outside the new site. On-site security personnel are now present to support visitors in parking safely and appropriately.
The management urges patrons to avoid parking on footpaths or blocking access lanes to ensure the site remains safe, accessible, and family friendly for all.
A38 Last Exit welcomes visitors seven evenings a week, operating from 5pm until midnight.
Looking ahead, the venue has plans to expand its innovative halal drive-in concept across the UK, targeting cities such as London, Glasgow, Leicester, Manchester, and Cardiff for future locations.
“As always, we’d really appreciate your help by avoiding parking on footpaths or blocking access lanes so we can keep A38 Last Exit safe, accessible and family friendly for everyone.”
This expansion marks a significant milestone for A38 Last Exit as it continues to establish itself as a pioneering destination for halal street food enthusiasts.
