Parents in the UK are being urged to act quickly following the recall of several children’s trousers sold by Boden due to a risk of cuts. The affected trousers have faulty poppers that may crack and develop sharp edges, posing a danger to children wearing them.
The recall covers trousers with specific purchase order (PO) numbers: G5531 MDN – 660046, 660050, 660604; G5531 DDN – 662354, 662355; G5531 PNK – 663497; G4865 MDN – 661419, 662938; and G4865 DEN – 663091. These numbers appear at the top of the first page of the care label, located on the left side of the trousers as worn.
The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has confirmed that these trousers fail to meet the General Product Safety Regulations 2005. The primary concern is that cracked poppers at the waist may develop sharp edges, which could cause cuts to fingers or legs during use.

The recalled trousers, described as wide-leg with various prints, were sold between July 1 and October 31 last year. They are available in sizes ranging from 2-3 years up to 7-8 years.
The OPSS advises consumers to immediately stop using the affected products and return them to Boden for a full refund. Boden has issued a statement emphasizing their commitment to product safety and apologizing for any inconvenience caused. They urge customers to check if their purchase is impacted and to contact them with any questions.
