Police Update on Dylan Fitzpatrick Murder Investigation at Tamworth Railway Station

Police have provided an update regarding the ongoing murder investigation following the death of Dylan Fitzpatrick at Tamworth Railway Station in Staffordshire.

Emergency services responded to the scene on Sunday, March 8, at approximately 2:20 a.m., after a man was found unresponsive in the station car park. Paramedics treated him for serious injuries, which police reported were consistent with being struck by a vehicle. Despite their efforts, the 28-year-old Birmingham resident was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 27-year-old man from Birmingham was arrested in Sutton Coldfield on suspicion of murder on Monday morning, March 9, by Warwickshire Police. British Transport Police confirmed the suspect remains in custody as of the afternoon of March 10. Meanwhile, a 28-year-old woman arrested shortly after the incident was released without further action.

Detective Inspector Marvin Bruno of British Transport Police commented on the arrest, stating, “This development follows extensive overnight enquiries and represents a significant step in our investigation into Dylan Fitzpatrick’s death.” He added that no additional suspects are currently being sought and requested the public to respect the victim’s family privacy as they receive support from specially trained officers.
