Police officers in Streetly stopped a vehicle reported to be driving erratically, only to discover that it had been stolen. The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 11.
During the stop, officers found that the vehicle had been taken from an address in Great Barr earlier that day. A 22-year-old man was promptly arrested at the scene on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and being equipped for burglary. Authorities also seized a number of tools believed to be linked to potential criminal activity.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police explained, “Our response officers, operating out of Walsall, noticed the suspicious driving and conducted a stop. Upon investigation, we confirmed the vehicle was stolen and arrested the driver accordingly.”

The suspect was taken into custody and later released on bail as police continue their inquiries. West Midlands Police have appealed to the public for information regarding the case.
