Violence erupted in Wolverhampton city centre after the Championship match between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Stoke City on 29 August. Following the game at Molineux Stadium, groups of individuals engaged in fighting on Lichfield Street, with reports indicating that items were thrown during the disturbances.
West Midlands Police have arrested five men in connection with the disorder, and four have been charged. The investigation remains ongoing as officers work to identify others involved.
The police have released images of several men they wish to speak to regarding the incident and have appealed to the public for information to aid their enquiries. A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “Do you recognise any of these men? We want to speak with them about the disorder that followed the Wolves match against Stoke on Saturday 29 August.”
